welcome to our new house! we threw ourselves a little housewarming party last night & it was a huge success. not only was it about 90 degrees inside & out, but we had roughly 50-60 people come over between 8 and midnight so we all had a little glisten to our faces-it had to have been the hottest night of the summer thus far. none the less, all the food i made was gobbled up (veggie platters, mini brownies, 2 kinds of cookies & homemade farmers market ingredient guacamole and chips) & we had a great showing of friends, both old & new. everyone was really, really gracious & gushed over the house & the party & we had so much fun catching up with people, some of which we hadn't seen in years. lots of fun! now for a little house tour: here's the hallway...
here's the kitchen...presley & tibby modeling, they walk under that little carve in the cabinet below the sink to use their litterbox. it conceals it perfectly & gives them the privacy they need :)
our living room...on the mantle we have our puerto rico scrapbook, a pic of grandma & grandpa mccloud, a photo box w/a pic of elliana on it, eric's college grad pic with friends & eric's first niece's baby pic with him. the ceramic decoration hanging from the ceiling fan is something that monica made and painted. we had the tv wall-mounted & stuck the rabbit ears on top of the mount so their out of view, the cords hang down behind the bamboo. don't mind my hot pink party shoes in front of the fireplace there...
tibby is movin so fast in this one, he's a blur! like our cream-colored shag rug from ikea? also notice the photo coasters from katie-complete with updated pics inside: we have one of mom & dad in there.
CONGRATULATIONS christa & derek on the birth of your sweet, tiny son, lucas!
i sent this pic to the girls i work with & they couldn't get over how great christa looks. so much so, that they were saying things like, "but she's not the one who just HAD the baby, right?" seriously, she did GREAT, she looks GREAT, she's got a GREAT guy & pretty much the cutest little "ernie" baby ever. we couldn't be happier!
YAY! the highly anticipated cousin introduction!
he is just SO cute. every time a new pic arrives i freak out & my eyes well up, he's such a little angel, love him!
